Tradition in a modern dress. This is how a new restaurant in the Tatras is characterized, which has ambitions to offer traditional specialties in a modern and taste-enhanced version. The stylish interior is inspired by the work of Tatra architect Gedeon Majunke, and the kitchen is made with local ingredients. Here you can enjoy groats from Štrba (from the only water-powered mill in Slovakia), beef from Važec, meat products from Hranovnica, bryndza and cheeses from Liptovská Teplička and Toporec. Most of the ingredients and drinks are of domestic origin. They don’t know semi-finished products here, because, as the chef claims, “we have a talent for our unique homemade pies, šuľanka or freshly baked pošuč”. It’s a real pleasure to come here and whatever you choose from the menu will be incredibly good and just the way it should be. They will also surprise you with their own “pantry”, where you can find products from local suppliers and which will conjure up something good for you with a beer or on the way home. The pine bar with an offer of up to 30 varieties is unique. You definitely have to come here.
